Managing DNS
Manage your domain's DNS records via Plesk.
Viewing and editing DNS records
Go to Websites & Domains → choose your domain.
Click DNS Settings.
Here you'll see all active DNS records for your domain.
Adding a record
Click Add Record.
Choose the record type and fill in the details.
Click OK.
Common DNS record types
A record — points your domain to an IPv4 address (e.g. 123.45.67.89).
AAAA record — points your domain to an IPv6 address.
CNAME — an alias pointing to another domain (e.g.
www to yourdomain.com).MX record — determines which mail server receives e-mail. The priority number determines preference (lower = higher priority).
TXT record — used for SPF, DKIM, DMARC and domain verification (Google, Microsoft, etc.).
NS record — determines which nameservers are responsible for your domain.
SRV record — points to a specific service on a specific port.
Restoring default DNS
Accidentally removed or changed records? Click Restore Default Settings to reset the DNS zone to the server default.
DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate worldwide. Only change DNS records if you know what you're doing — removing the A record, for example, will make your website unreachable.
To edit a record, click its name. To delete one, check it and click Delete.
