Installing WordPress
Install WordPress with a single click via the WP Toolkit in Plesk.
Installing WordPress
Click WordPress in the navigation menu.
Click Install.
Fill in the installation details:
Site titleAdmin username (don't use “admin”)Admin passwordAdmin e-mail addressClick Install and wait for it to finish.
After installation, reach your WordPress admin at yourdomain.com/wp-admin.
WP Toolkit features
WP Toolkit offers a lot more than just installation:
Managing updates — update WordPress core, plugins and themes.
Security — apply security measures automatically.
Cloning — make a copy of your site (e.g. for a staging environment).
Backup & Restore — back up individual WordPress installations.
Maintenance mode — show visitors a maintenance page.
Setting up auto-updates
WP Toolkit lets you configure automatic updates:
No — no automatic updates (not recommended).
Minor updates only — install security patches automatically (recommended for production).
All updates — minor and major updates automatically (recommended for staging).
After installation
- Change your permalink structure via Settings → Permalinks (choose “Post name”).
- Remove default plugins you don't use.
- Install an SSL certificate via Let's Encrypt.
- Install a security plugin such as Wordfence.
