You install WordPress with one click via the WordPress Toolkit in Plesk — no manual database or files needed.

Maintenance

• Keep WordPress core, theme and plugins up to date — the WordPress Toolkit can do this automatically.
• Always make a backup before a major update (via Backup Manager or the WordPress Toolkit itself).
• Remove plugins and themes you don't use — even inactive plugins are a security risk.

Basic security

• Use a strong, unique password for the wp-admin account — never the username "admin".
• Limit login attempts with a security plugin (e.g. limit login attempts).
• Enable two-factor authentication where possible.
