HTTP/2 and HTTP/3: Faster Internet Protocols
March 2, 2026
The Evolution of HTTP
HTTP is the protocol browsers use to communicate with web servers. Newer versions offer better performance.
HTTP/2 Advantages
Multiplexing
Multiple files load at once over a single connection.
Header Compression
Smaller requests mean faster communication.
Server Push
The server sends files before the browser asks for them.
HTTP/3 Improvements
HTTP/3 uses the QUIC protocol for even faster, more reliable connections, especially on mobile networks.
Requirements
HTTP/2 requires HTTPS. Make sure your SSL certificate is active.
Enabling It
Modern web servers support HTTP/2 by default. Check your server settings or ask your hosting provider.
